You may have heard about the new promotion from Disney in which those who spend a day volunteering get a free day at a Disney theme park. More importantly, your volunteers may have heard about it and be interested in this opportunity. In order to be a verifying organization, you must pre-register with Hands On Network. In order to volunteer and qualify for the free day, volunteers must go through the Disney website. Beginning January 1, 2010, volunteers can search and sign up for a volunteer opportunity from a participating organization. Volunteers must complete service for the volunteer opportunity selected. Once their service is verified by the participating agency, they will receive a voucher to redeem their Disney theme park ticket. To participate, an agency must register opportunities with Hands On Network, the official volunteer connector for GADGADD. The promotion is good through December 15, 2010 and free tickets must be used during 2010.
