As one strategy to grow goodWORKSconnect and respond to the identified learning needs of the region, Nonprofit Community Convenings were begun in 2009. Nonprofit Community Convenings are held monthly and circulate around the population centers of the region- Champaign-Urbana, Decatur, Springfield, Mattoon-Charleston-Effingham. A group of local conveners in each region serve as the conduit to the local nonprofit community, and plan the gatherings.
